Being a Mentor is a great opportunity for you to continue the development of your career, allowing you to re-affirm and reflect on your own practice and your personal development. It provides great personal satisfaction knowing that you are mentoring someone at the start of their career in the NHS. In fact, in many cases we find Dentists develop life-long professional relationships.
Support and advice will be provided from our designated Training Programme Director. They will be available at every stage of the process as you settle into life as a Mentor, and will run Mentor-specific training days at our Support Centre in Northampton, which will explain the roles and responsibilities of the Mentor and the requirements of this important role.
If you wish to continue to develop yourself, why not consider becoming an Educational Supervisor for Foundation Dentists in the future? At Rodericks we can help you towards becoming a Mentor which will provide invaluable experience and sets you on the path to a fulfilling career in training.
